Carpe Diem Handicrafts S.L. is a small company founded in 2000 based in Navajeda, a rural village in Cantabria, a province in the north coast of Spain. Along its short but successful history, the company design, produce and sell innovative jewellery. All sort of jewellery articles are made:

The success of the company is due to:

• Creative designs and the original way to combine them, transforming the original structure of the basic elements with carvings, dying, heating etc.
  
  

  Abundance of models. Each season many collections are launched to the market in short series, a policy that provides originality and constant evolution, characteristic of this modern market in permanent change.

• Independent of the tendencies of the market, the line that the company develops is guided by the creativity, not the fashion trends.
  
  

  The variety of designs is ample; some lines are made in contemporary style while others are inspired in ethnic jewellery from India, Indonesia, Yemen, China, and the South Pacific Islands etc. Every season more than two hundred models are introduced to the market.

• The quality level is high. The production is done in three different countries: India, Thailand and Indonesia. All the processes are done mainly by hand under permanent supervision of the company.
  
  

Carpe Diem guaranteed the excellence of its jewellery; since the primal design until the final distribution to the retailers, the company controls all the process.

There are four different lines in four groups of materials all set on silver:

Organic (hard wood, cow bone, mother of pearl, sponge coral, buffalo horn, pearls, bamboo, leather, etc.)

• Semiprecious stones (garnet, turquoise, amethyst, peridot, rainbow moonstone, onyx, quartz, topaz, etc.)

Innovation

The company explores continuously different materials (metals, stones, organic products) to produce new and unusual types of jewels.

The designs are developed by the designer of the company in close contact with the artisans that are in charge of the production.
